SX/SXi/SXi Pro what hull should i use for free ride / freestyle sxi or sxi pro

i have an sxi hull its kind of beat i can get an sxi pro hull cheep but what ever hull i choose im going to go through it from top to bottom what wound you think wound make a better free ride / freestyle boat?

ya people seam to forget that Kawasaki invented the stand up i started on a 550 and I'm sticking with them and most big freestyle guys run every thing Kawasaki except the engine

ahh, I love shortened style sxr bottom decks, and there pump setup..but eme r the only ones using sxr style lower decks. Xft, Bun, wcf, Max hull, matrix, xs, lenzi, other than his one1 which is in its own class, but sj pump. All these r sj related, so id say most pro riders use sj style. But dont get me wrong im a fan of a mod sxr lower deck.

Do the Pro hull with front tubbies molded in and cut the rear off about 2 inches and you will have a nice freestyle hull that will turn and jump and be stable. As for aftermarket hulls Trinty EVO, WDk Envy, Blowsion and Wamilton all had hulls too based on the SXR hull and the new superjet hull copied it to a point.

The pro is more lbs than the sxi.

I thought the Pro has the motor further forward (2") and is more nose heavy.
If that's the case, wouldn't an SXI be a better starting point ?

Sxi pro is glass and and sxi is smc. Not sure on where the motor is set.

yes the motor is 2'' foward but its not a big deal to tweek the bed plate and move it back with the sxi drive shaft

But if it must be one of the 2 than I'd take one that is lighter.
I would have to do quite a bit of grinding on the chines to get them things to slide around a bit more. Guess it's that "SuperJet" thing.

i would go with the lighter SXI and the better engine placement.

Then put a Yami Motor in it!!!!!!!

I used to have the sx and went to the pro I love the pro and I pushed the motor back so I could use a 650sx driveshaft ;-) So no nose heavy problems on my end.

the pro and sx motor plates are identical I had to modify.

You can redrill new motor mount holes in the hull or you can slot the holes on the motor bed plate where it mounts to the motor and where it mounts to the rubber mounts. Be carfull using a 650 drive shaft where it is machined for the bearing support sometimes it does not match up for the bearings and seals.
