what carbs!!!

So I had a sweet running limited I picked up and like a moron thought the 48mm Full specs on the Boysen Reed Valve system would be to much for doing freestyle (Boat ran sweet). Can a set of 44's be made to hit close to the full specs that were on the boat?

Thanks

I've ridden some very clean/powerful boats with 44's, so I'd say close. If you have the money though, the FS's really are a level above.

If the boat is set up for freestyle it will only be that much cleaner with properly tuned 48 FS. Yes, a set of propely adjusted 44's can hit close to what FS can but they are inharently limited by their design. The fuel atomization is greatly increased along with flow charcteristics and precision benchflow work to match a set of FS carbs. Add to that equation the FS manifold and RAD valves and you have like the best carb set up out there (MO). However that does not mean a thing unless you take the time to tune them. Carbs are only as good as the tuner.

Im running a stock 760 set up (rejetted) on my limited 701 SJ and it works great !! everyone loves the way it hits ! Most think its a mod ! best bang for the money IMO

I also love my Black Jacks and have never had anything to complain about them..

Both these set ups will cost you alot less than FS.. im not sure of the prices of FS's are now but I'm thinking over $1000.00 ??

I heard that a set of just FS carbs is in the ball park of 1200-1500. If you want the whole setup new w/ carbs, manifold/reed spacer and RAD valves it is in the 2200 range

I paid 700 for my Riva powerbombs then put them on my $40
R&D manifold w/ v-force gen 1 reeds. Hits great and is clean. The Riva's are pretty much FS clones at about 1/2 the price but the time Ed spends setting up a set is what you pay for. The FS are precisely constructed and flowtested/matched for performance.
