the hole for the choke shaft is slightly bigger on the 46 i picked up. i don't think they make bigger plugs for the mikuni just looks like a one size fits all type deal. so how do i make this work? is it a special size?

Yep. Just JB weld it in there. I started to ask the same question this weekend. Just put some tape on the inside of the holes to keep it from running in there. I used the quick set kind.

ok next question since i have some of your attention. what did you use to bore the holes? i tried my dremel with a chain saw sharpening bit and it did not work too good. i figure cause its made for steel rather than aluminum.

I didn't have to do that to mine. A friend had a wetjet intake he was thinking about putting on his wifes waveraider. Gave it to me since the holes didn't line up with the stock carb.

I was gonna just clamp a 44mm to the bottom of it, and use the holes as a guide to drill them out. A dremel should work. Just make sure you keep it centered.
