I have a deposit in with watercraft factory for a motor (shortblock + carb). Communication is great, Steve has taken lots of time to answer my questions, and always prompt to respond to new questions. I feel confident that I will have a turnkey, tuned lamey + carb setup. Confidence is important for such a big purchase.

I've spoken at length with a several vendors, and chose watercraft factory to build my new motor due to a combination of confidence and cost. Nothing bad about the other vendors, but when it came down to splitting hairs, I went with WCF.

I will post a follow up as to final delivery time (2 - 3 weeks), final price as expected, motor performance, etc...

So far two big thumbs up!

Update. The shortblock is complete, Steve is still waiting on the 48 single carb from Novi.

Final price was just as expected, no surprises, I did go for a couple add-ons which were all added at a fair price.

Steve is very patient, i think every email i send him goes like "when can you ship it?" followed by a bunch of questions. He always gets back to me and the couple times I called for quick items like changing my ship to address, etc., he picks up the phone every time.

Here are a couple teaser pics that Steve sent me (Steve hope you don't mind me posting em up), the attention to detail looks great, can't wait to ride this...

Sweet jebus!!! That some serious motor porn!

Steve kicks a$$. I bought a hood from him..I haven't had time to put it on yet definitely when I get back from vacation. His products are well built at a fair price and the warranty is killer.

Rode the watercraft factory lamey with novi-tec 48mm single carb the last two days. It's really REALLY good. Pulls hard, very responsive right from the bottom and pulls very hard through the whole RPM range. no problem pulling nose stabs and barrel rolls in flatwater.

the jetting feels perfect, the sweet spot was only 1/8 turn of the adjusters from recommended settings, took two or three quick rides to find the sweet spot. it was that easy.

we were shooting for 185 psi to run 93 octane and nailed it. cylinders have 186 psi rear, 185 psi front.

Thanks to Steve at watercraft factory and Tim at novi-tec for setting up a turnkey motor and carb setup (of course it was a shortblock so ... self-install of a turnkey shortblock). I'm very happy with this purchase.

time to go riding, i am so sore and bruised, and can't wait for more
