water inside, where it goes from? help please

i do couple of subs, and engine starts to bog immediately but after 10-20 secs everything is ok.., any way how to block the water from coming inside the engine department? thanksss for help guys

like i understand that sameway air gets in , water does as well?... how come superjets dont have that problem..

they all get water thats what bilge pumps and suffer valves are for. every ski takes water.

i had that problem but built a little aluminum block off for the front air inlet and cut another inlet hole in the back of my hood and that pretty much solved the problem

i have to find that front air inlet and block it, will try that... , i know little bit of the water will always be there i just hate when the engine starts to bog and i cant ride for coulpe secs

Take your hood off and turn it upside down...it is in the front of the hood and is a round hole...you can just put duct tape over it!

It'll still bog even if ya block the hole and install a bilge

But only 1/2 as much...it lets in wayyyy less water. Scuppers are the best for releasing water. I have a scupper, 1100gph auto-bilge and the front hole blocked. I can bury that ski about 8 feet under and not bog.

BTW....let off the throttle when you sub. Every bit of exhaust your blowing out, brings the same amount of air in the carbs, when the air is gone, nothing is left but water.

i will try that, also .. can it bog because when i sub there is no fresh air coming in to carbs..? like it ran out of air? it kinda stupid but i had to ask

Yes, also from keeping the throttle open under water.

i think no matter how little water you get in there it will hit the exhaust as it sloshes around and steam under ur hood, i pulled the trumpets out of my intake too and that cut down on the bogging because it gets more air, i realize it's a chance of getiting water in the intake but really you gotta get a sh*t load of water in ur engine compartment to fill that full. also by the drain hole at the back of the engine compartment there is a tool holder, if u trim the back of the foam that it sits in it allows way better flow to drain it i did that this year and it's awesome
