Time to winterize

Well I'm back in school so its time to winterize the '90 SJ - couple questions....

What can I do to be sure no water is left in the block?
I have no pisser to funnel in antifreeze - is there a water line I can use?

Also I don't want to find my carb gummed up next summer (my dad's ski-doo likes to do that) - any ideas?

Thanks for your help, I did a search and these are my remaining questions

For the water, I use a shop-vac and siphon all the water out of there.

For the gas and carbs, I put fuel stabilizer (sta-bil) in the tank and run the ski for a minute or two (do not run ski for a minute out of water) .

I also fog down the engine and take the battery inside.

time for all the winterizing threads with the "whats that?" jokes to follow!

i love it. winterizing down here means put some premix in and ride!

speaking of premix, isnt it true that premixed fuel will NOT separate and gum up like unmixed fuel?

i usually just put sta-bil in the tank then run the motor to circulate the sta-bil into the fuel lines and carb. while running it I fog the carbs until the motor chokes out, usually does not stall, but choke and sputters. then I pull the plugs and fog down the cylinders, then drop a cap full of oil in. then spray down the entire motor with a rust inhibitor. I never use antifreeze in mine...

Also, if i don't leave mine in the heated shop, and just stick it in the garage, where it's subject to freezing and warming, i prop the hood open to keep condensation from building. I also drain my fuel tank after running it, and leave it slightly open with a sock or something over it to allow it to breath and not build condensation in the tank either.

this year though, i will not winterize until mid january... Daytona Beach here I come.
