Thursday Lake Erie 5-7 FT waves north ohio

Blue Angels are out ripping it over the beach... Nothing like a Navy Jet doing about 250mph right over your head when your rippin waves... The noise is just insane. It shook my classroom today.

That was an awsome experience for me , total trip took all day i got back at 10 pm - BEAT ! Waves were huge in my book had to be 7-8 ft swells in the lake but waves were a lil smaller at the beach imo . , the trip across the breakwater was like being in a huge maytag ! waves were comming from everywhere ! Once at the beach they were pretty cool ,my ol-blaster /66e ran like a champ not even a hic-uP. Mat tore up the surf on the blaster like he was born on one ''said he never rode one before ''haha ! anyways,MAT ,TJ ,AND CHRIS ''and one other guy ? ''were doing some real riding like kids in a candy store , said that was the best surf in a couple years ,TJ took some footage mabe well see it later ! lots -o air !:arms: ps: had a good time riding and meeting up with you guys , thanks ! Sounds like Erie was great in Cleveland yesterday. I hit Erie in Monroe, MI about 5:00 yesterday. Great waves were coming in, but it looked like I was riding on a giant chocolate milk shake. The water litterally looked like rolling mud. Other than that the waves were big, and were breaking about 100 -200 feet off shore.
Frank, there was no beach. the water level had risen enough that I launched from nearly the grass where it meets the sand.
There were probably a dozen wind surfers, several surfers, kyakers a kite boarder and 1 lone SJ (me)

dj : i rode with ndh5 out of sterling park i personally dont think it was any shallower than edgewater! the launch makes you travel about a 1/4 mile in a no wake zone befoer you get to open water but with a stand=up you can beach launch with a cart easily ,right there ! good waves on the north corner of the beach . the blaster will be waiting on ya next time i get up there ! cant make saturday i blew my change on thurs and need to recoup ! need to buy more yamaha keys too lol !

I either launch from the docks at Sterling State Park or use a beach cart and put in directly from the beach at the park. I didn't make it down to Erie at all over the weekend, I had a cousins wedding to attend in Grand Rapids and other family obligations.
Blaster800 and I were down there the last weekend in August apparently just as the waves were beginning to kick up from Ernesto. Had I known you were that close I would have sent you a note to meet us out there.
