650/X-2 there's nothing past 2/3 throttle

So i recently put mikuni 44sbn on my 650sx as my first upgrade to the ski. I'm running a 150main jet and 120pilot jet. the highspeed needle is 1 turn out and low is 3/4 turn. Pop-off should be 21, but i don't have a gauge yet to test (on its way). And there's really no difference between 2/3 throttle and WOT. It's also not very responsive. If i richen or lean the high speed the ski gets way worse and i probably can't get over 10mph with it. The plugs are a brown color, and last time i checked (3 weeks ago) compression was 145 in both.

Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on.

thats what i was thinking. I was planning on getting some boyesen reeds after this season. Along with a deep scoop intake and new prop. But i guess I'll just do the reeds now and see what happens. Do I need new cages along with the reeds?

did you check that the throttle actually opens the butterfly more at 2/3

Could there an air leak into the case? or a problem with the exhaust, I've heard that it's hard to tune a 650 with a mikuni 44sbn and stock exhaust.

ok, thanks. Im buying boyesen reeds and cages along with stuffers, even though i don't think stuffers will do much on a 650sx. I'll also try adjusting the pop-off... maybe go one lighter on the spring.
