sxr impeller tips?

I'm going to put a new prop on my bone stock ski. I'm mostly a rec rider and I'm getting into freestyle, any suggestions? Any other mods I should think about doing? I don't want to spend too much money, I need some for beer.

I'm still runnin a stock prop. Good cheap mods are to send your head and flywheel to Group K for lightening and cutting. Wakes it up pretty good. Also get the nozzle bored out (cheap at any machine shop).

Put some good handlebars, footholds and a bilgepump and you'll be good to go for a while!

I've put bars and a bilge on it already, I want to do foot holds but I don't know much about glass, so I'm kinda nervous about cutting holes in my ski. I only live about 45 min from Havasu so I might find someone up there to do it for me.

:usa2:Its easy and you won't regret it. The hardest part is scraping off the old mat. NOBODY ever regrets putting in footholds. The glassing is very easy. There are a ton of threads on here that will help...and I'll bet if you start a thread plenty of people will answer your questions.

Frosty just got a set of water craft factory holds that were inexpensive and are very cool. There are alot of diferent styles and opinions on this subject. If you can try some out on other peoples skis. I have kickers, but would not install them again, they are small.

the waterdawg revs are nice but they require some fancy fiberglass work if your running the stock exhaust because it hits the pipe comin from the bulkhead

For footholds go with the 24/7 there are cheep and are very nice and easy to install. Get he wet pipe very good mod and if you have the money get a head or send yours out to be cut it will deff wake your ski up, also a wet wolf cone wont hurt kx454 is selling one for the sxr. i have a 10/18 large hub prop from skat trak it makes ahuge difference with my pipe and head set up, but the stock prop is good too, deff get that pipe and head decked.

24/7 holds are a joke!

.....from the cutting and glassing to the actual fitment, of a human leg, into the hold.

i give it a 4.7

My brother picked up a set of Watercraft Factory footholds for his SXR this winter. We should be glassing them in this Thursday. I'll take some pics and post them if we do get it done.
