Can anyone visually confirm if this is the new or older style of the swirl prop? Thanks!

Well, I hope it is the new style, or else when I am riding with it in the ski, I will always be thinking of how much better a newer one would be.

the old schol skat impellers ( neither new or old swirl)
had the built in wrench end.

Ive never seen any type of 'swirl' with that though.

I THINK this pic is the OLD style swirl?

I think its the new one, but not positive. I think the old ones have the built in end so you don't have to use a removal tool. Again, not 100% though.

Jesus Christ. This is getting tense. Do I have the new or the old... after those pics, and before the explanation, I was thinking I had the old one. I can't take the suspense! I think I will just check back in in a week or so:wall:

So I just got off the phone with Dave at Impros. He said that the difference was not really obvious to the eye of the common rider between the new and old style props. He said he could tell the difference if he had them side by side in his hand. He said the main difference was about 1/2" of blade length. He also said the difference was not nearly as bad as some things on the forum were said to be. Basically he told me the old one would have better hook up right off the bottom, and rev a little slower, and the newer one would have less bottom bite, but allow the rev's to build faster. He said it's more important to have the right pitch than to worry about the old style vs. the new.

He might check this post out later, so I hope I didn't screw anything up :D
