And a real big thanks to Nuklear6 who has offered me this West Coast head to bump compression and help the 650 along a bit.

Cheers mate!

It says Styrene resin. It's a kit from a local boat shed. To be honest im not too happy with it after i put it on outside the hull but its not gonna leak. Il sink a few cans of etch primer into it after sanded and give the hull some serious paint hopefully hiding it....

A bit more progress today having almost completely sanded the hull back to the glass bogged up the bad scratches and blew in a 2 pak primer. Received the 9/17 scat prop and pjs toploader from a member on another forum and now are looking at cutting out the old pump liner in favor of a newbe due to swelling. Motor will be screwed together next week. I had a crack at taking some weight out of the fly wheel and it is now 145 grams lighter. Thats going to be balanced next week also.
We have decided to spray the hull black and the top deck at a later stage in candy apple red with a trick paint effect with some nice big ass green Kawasaki stickers under the clear coat.

Im a lil worried my 1.5 inch chop job might have been excessive with cutting down the sides a bit much? Thoughts?

It Lives! New pump liner and prop, rebuilt 650 and fresh black 2 pack on the hull. Just have to sort out the cooling system for a coffmans pipe? Not sure exactly how it is supposed to be routed and after looking at 17 different diagrams in here and other forums im still without resolve. Feel like a bit of a tard..... Can anyone point me in the right direction for routing a coffmans pipe into the cooling system? I have drilled and tapped another fitting in the head witch goes strait out to a pisser

Good work. (video wont play for me tho, EDIT: got the video to play, but I can't see what you have going on with the cooling lines on the pipe.)

I think the coffman's pipe is the same as my old westcoast pipe...
http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/25542-650SX-X2-build/page2 see ost 38 of my build...

Cooling line comes in from the pump and goes to the bottom of the exhaust manifold.
(My ski had only 1 line from the head, yours has 2)
Line one from the head can be A) plugged as in the pic of the head, or B) can have a fitting that goes to a pisser.
Line 2 goes from the head to the head pipe.
Then the cooling line goes from the head pipe to a T-fitting. The straight part of the T-fitting goes to a second pisser. The T part of the T-fitting goes to the stinger on the pipe. For best results, put a Jetworks flow control valve after the T but before the stinger.

Thanks mate. That really helped. Think I have it sorted will be dropping it in the water asap for a test. Have some goodies on the way for extra pisser so now it just tuning the little bugger. I have read into the tuning thread on the sbn 44 and so far know basics. What would be a good start for the low and high speed adjustments?

I just looked at my build thread again and the way the cooling lines are set up in the picture are WRONG. Please do not route your lines the way they were in that picture. You need to route them the way I wrote in the post I just quoted. Completely ignore the picture.

BTW, didn't mention this b4 but the line from the head goes to the back of the head pipe, and the line to the T that goes to the pisser+stinger comes out the front of the head pipe. Should be a 90degree fitting in the back and a straight fitting out the front. Mine is only wrong because there is no T before the stinger.

150 high
120 Low
1 turn out on both screws
2.0 needle/seat
65 or 95 gram spring

Tune... Low speed screw + Idle adjuster, then pop off, then low speed jet, then high speed jet, then high speed screw.

ya, but i remember on my skiing websites someone said something about that... what are they? hahaha basically you order some forign chick and shes like a live in broad?

Already went through the natural progression your about to start. All I can say is do yourself a favor and find a 750 to drop in her now! It will be the end result anyway. And as far as the prop and pump go, I would looks closely at the liner around the prop in the pump. They are known for swelling and not alowing the prop to turn all the way around.

Just bought a BIG PIN 750 with a K Group milled head and lightened flywheel from a Stang dude. Its suppose to be a pretty sick motor! Have a surf brace on the way also. You were right Nuklear i rode the 650 for about and hour and then...... Great fun on flat water but out in the surf it was a non event in the surf. Probably a little over propped for it too
