Superjet 760 running like crap after rebuild

Hi Guys,

Help required, here is the story:

Last year I drowned my superjet 760 and I cannot get it to work properly after I rebuild it.
It's starts after half a turn, but then there is absolutely no throttle response,it cannot rev up and there is some black crap coming out of the exhausts.
The rebuild included new crank, pistons, flywheel, stator. I thought that it was from the carbs, but I rebuild them as well and still the same poop.
Here is the video of it.

I'm out of ideas now.

And please ignore the kawasaki label it's just for some registration purposes.....

Nope... That was one of the first things i've checked. Strong spark from both of the plugs. Checked the reed valves as well and they seems fine.
Common guys any other ideas ? I'm a bit desperate now.

It definitely sounds like an electrical fault somewhere. I failed on a flip attempt the other day being that I landed upside down and when I started it it sounded like that. My first immediate thought was that water got into intake and engine but when I took hood off one of the plug cables had come off lol. It sounded just like that.

Keko is the guy who is supposed to post this, but I'm impatient:
We were both in his garage today and the problem appeared to be the white/red wire in the electrical box. When it is disconnected everything works like a charm.
The jetski has both flywheel and stator replaced with new ones during the rebuild and I am certain that before the rebuild the white/red wire was connected. Is it possible the stator to be for other SJ model which requires the white/red wire disconnected?

Looking at this image - I still cannot figure out what this white/red wire is for
SJ700AWI.jpg

Our observations show that when connected the white/red wire makes both cylinders to ignite simultaneously (we've exchanged spark plug wiring - cable for cyl#2 goes to cyl#1 and vice versa, and the weird behaviour shown on the video remained)
Any ideas what the white/red wire is for?

Well it was electrical. I think I got the wrong flywheel or stator although i bought them for the same guy on ebay stating they are from 62t.
So after a going back and forward i disconnected the red and white wire coming from the stator to the cdi and the magic happened. It works as it's supposed to.
Do you know what is that cable used for and is it safe to run without it ?

The white and red wire is for the pulse coil. The pulse coil senses the rpm of the engine and makes adjustments to the timing. With the white/red wire disconnected, the CDI falls back on a fixed static timing of something like 15 or 18 degs. It's possible you have an issue with the pulse coil, or you have a mismatch of parts that places the spark outside the correct timing range. There is a 10deg difference in the physical location of the components between a 61X and 62T system so depending on the combination, you could be +/- 10 deg from ideal.

A pic of the stator and flywheel would allow us to determine quickly what you have but in the meantime, here's 2 quick items to help you verify what you have.
- 61X Flywheel has 4 seperate magnets, 62T has a one piece insert with the magnets embedded for a smooth center.
- 61X Stator backing plate has 2 large openings behind the charge and lighting coils, 62T has one large opening and the other has a tab that runs through the center of it.

Not yet but thanks for the photo OCD.

I'm on business trip for the next two weeks, so it will not be anytime soon.
But we did a water test just to be sure there are no more leaks in the hull and it seems to run fine.
I'll definately post the results as soon as i disassemble it.
