Super Jet problem

Hey Everybody

I have a 2014 super jet. Was riding around today and accidentally sucked up some leaves. Power is severely reduced .There was nothing to pull out of the intake grid. What did I do? And more importantly how can I fix this problem. Thank you in advance.

if something went into the cooling, it could have clogged the water to the motor. When the motor gets too warm the ski will act like it has half throttle as the CDI limits RPM based on overtemp. Take the water line off the motor at the bottom of the exhaust and blow through it, it should flow easily and if theres anything in there hopefully that would clear it. Also use a flashlight to look inot the pump from the back and make sure that nothing is wedged in the nozzle or pump stator.

easiest way to test the cooling is to remove the hose from the head to see if water comes out of the head. Should have a good flow. you can blow into the same hose to see if it flows clear as it goes to the exhaust (the only other part that could be clogged if the debris made it through the motor and the flow out of the head is good and strong).

do all this with the ski in the water idling and hood off. It will take 10 or so seconds at idle sometimes for water to come out of the head fitting. if you have a bilge run it when doing this.

The fitting on the right side of this head in the picture below is where the water will come out and where the hose you take off will be.
