Super jet dying

I bought a new to me 94 sn super jet an took it out for the first time. It ran great for about 30 minutes but then it started to shut off whenever I went off a boat wake. Sometimes it just lost power then sped back up. Any ideas of what could be causing this? It was running on the fuel left in to from the previous owner. Thanks!

I had a ski do that off boat wakes or when jumping, it turned out to be broken strands of wire @ the spark plug boots inside the spark plug wires.... Unscrew the plug boots and cut back the cable until you get solid wires that can't be pulled out in pieces. If it's the crimp on style wire ends you can put some liquid lube in both ends of the boot and between boot & wire pull the wire out of the boot. Unfold the crimp and do as above

I forgot to say that once it did die the only way to get it to start again was to choke it

Have u checked the plugs and fuel filter?

Check the return plate make sure it's not clogged. If you still have the petcock (fuel selector) make sure that's not clogged. And make sure your internal carb fuel filter is not clogged
