stock pole with wammer hood didnt work

ive got a stock pole with a wamiltons hood kit i just tried installing on my ski
and when i go to put the pole all the way down it is too bulky and hits right down in the fron part of the hood...i cant get the pole to sit on the pole pad on the hood

or should i just order a damn xmw pole
ive got an xmw bracket as well single breather im running

i can't get my stock pole to rest on the WKD hood either... so my X-metal pole is arriving in the mail tomorrow.

You might as well finish it all off. Bite the bullet.

on a side note, with your stock pole and the X-metal bracket, what bolt system are you using? X-metal bolts, stock bolt, or hardware from the hardware store?

how gay can that be to get a pole not to work

I put a fat pad on the bottom of the stock pole upper bracket so it would rest on it instead of hitting the hood. You can kinda see it in this picture



Just remember, if you go with the X-metal pole, your gonna need a chinpad also.

Just get the pole if you can afford it - after market hoods are generally designed to work with after market poles.

I am still riding with the setup that is in the picture. Its kinda nice having the that pad there b/c when I'm riding surf stance I can put the pole on the hood and its a pretty good height for slashing and such.

I am using the Water Dawg bracket. I just crank down the stock bolt and it holds for a long time, no red locktite needed...

i want it to stay where i put it but now it just slowly falls
and yea i might get a pole here soon brit
your hood come yet?
btw red locktight is too damn expensive
i felt like i was paying for a red bull at twice the cost

The only Pole on the Market lighter then a stock pole is the XFT Carbon pole... somewhere around 7-8lbs

X-metal is about 1-1.5lbs heavier then stock, but much stronger. 9.5lbs
UMI and AC are about the same as the XMW.
WDK is about 10lbs I believe.
The RRP is suppose to be the heaviest.

So its realy just a matter of wich pole you like.

if you run a waterlogged chinpad than that will make it fall down easy, i dont recommend running the stock pole tight, its tough on the cast piece at the base of the pole.

i like the xft pole because it comes with a chinpad already for the same price of the xmetal, and every xmetal i see the paint is flaking off

yeah, my buddies rrp is really heavy.

Yep, depending on how much you take off the stcok pole, it is around 8-8.5lbs.
