Super Jet Starter wont stop cranking

I saw this happen to a friends sn about a year ago. Tonight about 30 seconds after I got my battery hooked up the start just started turning over with no tether hooked up. I disconected it and the hooked it up again and it started turning really slow so I took it back off right away before it got going. Any suggestions or ideas?

Mine did the same thing along with no spark and it ended up being a bad start/stop switch. However yours is a bit different considering it happened right when you hooked up the battery. Open up the switch and check out the lanyard kill switch mechanism.

the same thing happened to me on my jet, replace the solenoid, it's stuck!check your start stop switch first, but my monies on solenoid ;-)
