I just pulled apart a used pump that I had laying around, to my surprise, it has a Solas prop. The prop is a "Supra" series YB-SC-B, anyone know what the pitch of this thing is, and if it's a decent prop? I checked the Solas spreadsheet and it is not listed.
Thanks,
Bri

Just got an e-mail from Solas, the prop is actually a 13/18 - so I guess thats why it does work pretty well :arms:
Thanks,

I have one of these yb-sc-b props unused still in the box that came with my sn. The 650 is all stock so I was wondering if this would even be worth my time and $ to buy the tools to put it in? Would a 13/18 would give it more acceleration and a lower top speed?

I think a stock 650 would be a little over-propped with a 13/18.

I'm running a 13/17 with my Group K 701cc motor with a pipe. 14/18 was too steep, so I had it repitched.

It would still be better that your stock impeller though.

I'm really not sure. That is a steep impeller to run on a 650, but I have heard repeatedly heard that the stock sj impellers were crap, so overpropped or not, it still might be better than stock. Hopefully someone else here will know ....

Those old Solas props were very good overall. The yb-sc-b is too much load for freestyle. The popular low pitched props that everyone is using for 701-760s will work well with a stock 650 cyl and ignition.
