sn into rn

Only thing that should be different is the midshaft housing, it has a different bolt pattern. Also the SN midshaft and coupler has smaller and weaker threads, but can be pressed into a RN midshaft housing if conserving $$ is your goal.

This is asuming the RN you have has a pole and bracket, those will also not swap over if you have a stock SN pole and not a RN style pole on a hazard style bracket.

Okay thanks, looks like im in the market for the mid shaft and mid shaft housing. I have the pole and bracket so that all good. budget is low for this build but quality is most important. All of the cables and electrical is good to go though?

If you upgrade the shaft you need to upgrade the midshaft side coupler as well, this threads onto the midshaft with the threads that are diff sizes.

Long exhaust hose will need to be modified, RN uses a larger rear exhaust tube.

Not sure about the ride plates

Sorry, just typing as I think of things

dont be sorry thanks for the heads up. ill probably start the build this weekend and now i know what to look for. I have a lead on a exhaust hose for a good deal so check that off. i have 2 extra ride plates for the rn just missing the intake grate but the same guy has one of those for a good deal also. anything else you can think of let me know.

If you already have the rn pole and steering brackets, bars etc then you are good there. Cable should still work ( double check that tho). Pull and all is good. I'm not certain on ride plate and intake grate. Motor mounts and motor will be all fine in the rn hull. Might as well upgrade to a rn stock waterbox or even aftermarket if you can spend the little extra (sj waterbox is a tank) and then if you switch to a rn larger exhaust hose then the only hose that will be needed is the one to the waterbox itself. Midshaft and coupler can still work I'm very sure, just have the shift pressed into a rn or couch midshaft housing (bigger style than Sq nose). Idk I might be forgetting something but hope that helps ya on your upgrade!

a stock one will go for 100-200. You can get upgraded ones 150-300. Just have your paypal ready and when one comes up you better get it quick

Yea I saw one the other day and was gone in a hour. So I'll be jumping on the next one I see. The after market one I was looking at is 250 so I may just go that route.

Steering cAbles are different. One has a longer throw. So if using a rn pole I am pretty sure u will need a rn steering cable.
