sn help

hi, i just purchased a 1990 650 superjet w/worx intake grate n ride plate and freestyle cone. what other mods can i do for some more bottom/mid power. is a dual carb set up a good idea?
 
Exhaust and higher compression head (180-ish?) for sure. Also, if it's the stock impeller, replace it. Don't worry about a dual carb setup.

When thinking about mods, also think about ones that could still be used if you decide to swap out the engine for a 701...such as the exhaust.

I'm no expert on the subject, as I'm still learning, but would it be a good idea for him to check the impeller clearance to make sure its not out of spec? I'm thinking I need to do this on mine. 20 year old ski and all. Things wear out.

Head and Pipe will give you the Punch, a good impeller will bring that punch to the water.
You are looking at about $1000 in used gear right there.


P.S: Don't mess with the Carb. The stocker once rejetted is just fine.
