Sit Down to Stand Up Convertible Bunks

Just when I finally downsized to one stand up and a couch I picked up another stand up and another couch. In between I sold my two place stand up trailer.

I currently have a double trailer that is set up to carry two stand ups on one side nose to nose and a sit down on the other side. See below:

What i would like to do it make a set up that I can convert to carry either two stand ups and a sit down or two sit downs and a stand up. The second sit down is a GP760 so about 1 foot shorter than the XL in the photo.

So that begs the question has anyone made a set up that easily converts bunks from a stand up to a sit down? I am looking for something more than just sliding the bunks over (which I understand is most likely the simplest solution). Even if anyone has done this on a single trailer. Just looking at how you convert between the two.

Thanks in advance!

That is a sweet set up. The 3 seater I have is big.

I have been working on it. I swapped over one side to work with the GP and the bunks are close enough to also work with an sj. Then I am putting a set of bunks in front horizontally. Kind of like everyone else does. Just still trying to figure out positioning to keep the fuel holder and storage bin.

I can post pics later.

There is a style of bunk bracket sort of like a 'T'. Imagine the top of the T is the bunk and there is a mounting bolt hole at the bottom. If you put a locking nut on the bolt you could leave it slightly loose. Flop the bunks outward for a sit down, and flop IN for the stand up. The skis would sit on the edge of the bunk instead of the face but some trailers come like that anyway. Shouldn't be an issue.

He is talking about these I believe :

If you go that route you may want to make the bunks wider so you can offset the brackets or it may not get close enough apart when flipped for a standup, it all depends on how far apart they need to be for the sit down to fit properly I suppose.

In other words 2 x6 bunks , which would give you 4 extra inches when flipped with the brackets offset if you follow me here.

Yes I have those brackets now. I did try that and it kind of works but the riser bracket that bolts to the trailer wouldnt let it flop back and forth enough. I Bascially made a V with the bunks (and did use 2x6) so it supports the hull of the couch and then the SJ fits on the point of the bunk at that 12" sweet spot. It looks really narrow but actually works well to support the GP760. Not sure how well it would work with a bigger couch though. I am going to work more on it today so I will snap a photo.
