i got me some single stage paint, they told me me to mix 10 to 20 percent of reducer to the paint i shoot, if im mixing the paint with a 4 to 1 ration with the hardner, im going to mix 16oz of paint with 4 oz of hardner how much reducer should i mix with it.

Not sure but try figuring the 16 oz at 10% do a test spray, if it sprays fine on the test spray go with it if not go to 15 or 20 % whatever it takes to get it to spray properly, generally the less reducer you have to add the better, more reducer thins out the paint and makes it harder to spray without runs.

Go back to the paint store and purchase a 3-ratio graduated paint mixing cup.

Also read the instructions on the paint & catalyst containers for the correct mixing ratios.

if your mixing a total of 20oz of paint and hardner then 2oz of reducer is 10 %, 3 is 15, and 4 is 20. do try the least amount first to see how it sprays and go from there. temp , conditions, and type of paint play a big role in the amount of reducer to use.

layed me down some black paint

i sprayed my black down today, i used 4 oz of reducer, was too much had some runs now the fun task of wet sanding and c if i need to spray another coat, i didnt c everyones responces till after i painted today. thank u all.
