Salt water (surf) SXR (kawa) reliability bone stock or min. mods

ok just wondering about Kawa (this question a SXR) and the general reliability in Salt water (surf).. Was told kawa's reliablity goes south when it comes to riding in surf??

ps: I am asking about bone stock / min. mods

I've never heard of SXR's fallin apart or having salt water issues and more than any other ski would have? The only issues I can think of is the pole breaking (get a limiting rope) or the hood coming off which can be easily fixed with hoodstraps.

Forever - what hull you have and how does it handle in flat water / rivers? (if not stock)
