Log into the router and change it in the configuration.

If you don't know how to do that, then you need to read the instructions and you definitely need to because it tells me you've never set any security on it either.

well it was given to me by a bud so i dont have instructions....

i did that and then i typed it in the internet bar and it comes up with somethin bout an area password or something

i would say go get a d-link or a linksys router, wireless transmitting if you want to run airport on your macbook, and just roll with it... shouldnt have problems
