Hey, I just got my first standup ever last year, an 07 SXR, and I wanted to re-turf it before I put it back into the water.
I ordered 2 sheets of 8mm underpadding and the Diamond Cut style mat from hydroturf.I was planning on using 2 layers of the underpadding on the bottom portion of the foot tray and just using the diamond mat on the sides and front underneath the gas switches. Also, I'm leaving in the stock rail caps.
My question is though...are you supposed to turf the bottom part first where you stand OR the sides and front?
If you look at the stock mat it looks like they did the sides and front first and used the bottom mat to lock in the corners. Other riders, however, tell me to turf the bottom first. What should I do?
