I will be taking my pump out to replace my pump shoe in 2 weeks so I need some tips.
- Are there any special tools I need to get?
- Are there any seals I should replace while I am in there?
- Does anything need to be greased while I am in there?
- what kinds of sealants do I need to get? I am planning on using 5200 fast cure on the pump shoe. I think I have read to put silicon in the ride plate bolt holes. what else do I need to seal up before I put it back together? does the whole ride plate need to be sealed?
I have never removed a pump on a ski and I want this to go as smooth as possible so I can get back in the water quick.
