Reduce WaveBlaster B1 porpoising

1996 Yamaha WaveBlaster B1

Unless I'm hanging myself over the handlebars, I can't seem to keep it from porpoising at anything above 1/2 throttle, even on glass water.

Although most of my riding is burp, turn, burp, jump, etc.. there are times where I want to open it up just to get from point A to point B.

I've read about d-cut ride plates for improved handling, ride plate spacers for racing application, etc.. but in all the searching I've tried, I can't find someone that has discussed this exact problem for the blaster.

Any advice?

while shimming the rear of the plate does help with porpoising, it can make the already-sqirrelly b1 get even more squirrelly.... in a bad way.

id get an extended plate. i have a protec on my b1 and porposing is not an issue at all.
