Really really frustrated

I jst did something really dumb and am really frustrated.
I got my ported cylinder and new pistons back from Jetworks and started reassembling today.
The cylinder didn't want to slide in to the case and I kind of forced it.
In doing so I think I damaged something, maybe the crank.
It is very hard to turn by hand and there is a "skip" or slip in the rotation that almost feels like a gear slipping. The worst part is that the cylinder is stuck and so far I haven't been able to pull it back apart to see how much damage I caused. I like working on my gear but sometimes it just doesn't seem worth it.

Thank you guys for the input, I may have dodged a bullet on this one.

I am using a 6m6/650 crankcase that I thought was machined by the previous owner to accept the 62T/701 cylinder that came on it.

I am replacing that cylinder with a used 61x/701 cylinder that Art just bored and ported for me.

A few minutes ago after I got it all back apart I realized that the crankcase was NOT machined. The old cylinder had the OD on the bottom of the sleeve machined down to make it fit the 6m6 case.

The good news is the crank feels smooth. The bad news is that one of the sleeves on my freshly bored/ported cylinder now feels a little tight right at the bottom, I am sure from being jammed in to that 6m6 case. I definitely need to get that straightened out first.

Then I'm probably going to end up just buying a 61x or 62T crankcase instead of machining stuff to fit, but I'm kind of bummed about that too because I just spent $90 on new carbon mono reeds for the 6m6 intake.

Could have been a lot worse. . .
