Primer install on SXR

Was curious to know what kind of primer everyone is running on their stand ups. I have seen two different kinds, the bulb and pump primers. I have the pump on my sit down ski but was concerned with the handle sticking out and possible causing some carnage on my body while messing around with the stand up. This makes me lean more towards the bulb type primer. Any opinions on this?

I use the bulb and it is mounted under the hood. I have had very good luck with it, it's been on three years now.

Some people do not like the bulb style.

Glad to hear that the bulb is performing well. That is what I am leaning towards. I wanted to mount where the choke lever is. I think that the bulb style would do well right there.

I've got the plunger type in the choke knob position on both my SX-Rs. Honestly, I think the bulb style should be fine as well.

I have both on my skis
the pump sux IMHO; I changed the SJ to the bulb and will change the 750 this winter
new install- go with the bulb

Even my ole sxi starts first try 9 times out of ten. If your boat isn't having problems starting, don't worry about it. Ride it.

I run the bulb, have done for a year. Much better than the choke.
