Hey all I am going to put a limiting rope on my pole and was wondering how I should attach it. I know that the blowsion one attaches to the hood latch. I was going to make something similar and put about 6-12 inches of a shock strop in there, like a bungie cord, so it doesn't rip out the hood latch. I have read some other posts where they drill into the firewall and put an eye hook in there but I don't want to punch any more holes in my ski than it already has.

i made my own and did it the same way blowsion's is and i haven't ripped my latch out, and ive put it through some rough times. i ended up bending my clip straight 
^ this is the clip i bent straight. it was attached to a eyelet on the pole.
Point is i put it though a lot of abuse and the hood latch hasn't even flinched.

I have the Blowsion rope and I don't like it. I bent the carabiner clip that came with it, it rusts where the bungie attaches to the main rope, and if you extend the pole a few times, the loop that goes around the hood latch tightens and gets smaller. It also ripped the last time out on the hood latch.
With that said, it has definitely saved my pole/bracket a few times within the year and a half I've been using it. Just gonna go with something a little more beefy next time.

I'll post some pics tonight, I just used like 4 ft of rope and 3 ft of bungee. Run the rope from the bars to the hood latch, then just zip tie the bungee around the rope and the base of the pole
