please help me tune this bog away

I have what sounds to be the same problem on mine WITH FP's jetting specs, and I met another guy on Wednesday that had the same issue too (yes, with FP's jetting and timing advance plug). FP doesn't specify a different popoff.
YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE JETS TO FACTORY PIPE SPECS...
YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE POPOFF TO FACTORY PIPE SPECS....

Then it will be fine...

FPP specs are fat for summertime riding. With a 152.5 main you could close the hi speed adjuster completely and I think you would still be fat.
With a/m flame arrestors run this jetting in the summer when temps are above 85:
2.0 n/s and an 80g (black) spring...makes your pop off about 21psi
80 pilot
150 main
low speed adjuser 1 turn out
hi speed adjuster 3/4 turn out
Tune from there but that will be close.

when the temps drop below 85 run a 152.5 main

im trying to order mikuni n/s from atlantic jet sports and they have 2 different types. super bn (square body) or bn (round body)

Not yet i ordered the needle and seat and they were the wrong ones u need the push in not the thread in so make sure of that but i will be tryin it out tomorrow but i got it running pretty good before i had gas with ethanol in it that was not helpin and i adjusted my highs and low speed screws and its running pretty good i have the lows at 7/8 turn out and the highs at 5/8 turn out and i ran some 94 octane and its way better but i will still change my n/s to a 2.0 tomorrow and let u guys know

HEY dj do you think he should look at the directions from factory pipe's web sight I think those guys know what they are talking about. since they made it. When you start changing carb stuff and you dont know what you doing or what each little change does and the specifics you getting your self more and more lost in a maze of confusion. I have a factory MOD pipe ive played that game before. DJ the sxr is great but its to heavy and it sticks to the water a lot harder then my sxi pro. Its tough to get the back end to come arround on a tight turn but it dosen't porpose and the stock engine is sick I never expected so much power from a stock motor
