Plastic cooling line T's

Does anyone use plastic "T"'s in their cooling lines?
I have one I took out, but got to thinking about the weight of a metal one bouncing around. I made one out of plastic fittings that I need. I just wonder if its safe to use it?? what do you think?

Here is the one I made out of brass.

Here is the one I am thinking of replacing it with.. I did superglue all the fittings together after threading them in.

Not sure... I realy wouldn't bother saving the ounces vs. one of those plastic pieces breaking and ruining a day of riding.

Then the T off line would go out over my fuel tank and back in. Like a big U, this way it is straight. I know it sounds funny but I wanted the line supported, and a lil neat'er

I basicially built it to see if it could be done.

I had a plastic T on my GP and I broke it.I now use all brass on that ski (I think I was too violent with it.) I am running a plastic T on my superjet its at least 2 years old now and haven't had an issue

No No I personally was violent with it. If I recall the hose wouldn't come off and I was pissed off already and broke it. I do like the 90 turn on the T makes a cleaner look less hose etc.

Just keep an extra plastic T in the tool box when you going riding. My feeling is if you keep your eye on your pissers and you see no water is coming out you would head to shore. If its broke swap it out and good to go.

They last a long time, but I just took one and threw it away since it cracked. Been using PEX brass plumbing tees from Lowes.

you see.. that was my next idea. cut a T and solder a 90degree fitting on it.. but I like your idea better. .99 cents.. cant make it for that.
