paint primers

So I set the fiberglass on my flatdeck project last night, now I'm looking at paints. All I want is rattle can flat black, that being said, I still want to put a decent primer on there and know that it wont hold water. I wont be using a spray guy, this is just an inexpensive garage build. What kind of primers all yall using and/or had success with. Also, what is yalls favorite flat black rattle can? Auto, rustoleum, etc....?

Im not looking for a real flashy ski, I'm kind of going ratrod/smoker style on this one, i guess the gangsta would say, "murdering it out" :lmao:

no primer advice? i know there are some folks out there that have done this....im brand new to this stand up world so i would love some help here.

Just use any rattle can primer that is sandable. So you can wet sand it after applying it.
