Octane Octane Refoam

not sure, later today when i wake up will be my first test ride with the new setup. mikuni 46's with an external pump, vforce 3 reeds, 165psi comp, octane dry pipe, jet works flow valve and a few other tweaks. the octane pipe is a monsterous. but i'll keep you updated and i sure hope my ski has a few more ponies. it was starting to feel kind of slow!

what domes are u using to get 165lbs of compression?

I will end up with a similar setup..... Mikuni's, carbon reeds and cages, jet works valve, but no remote fuel pump. I'm using dual pickups and tapped my case for another pulse line.

Let us know where you end up on jetting that pipe!

huh thats weird. im not sure maybe call randy and see if he can give any advice.

Randy already has my CDI. Sent it to him last week.

When I called him, he asked me to take a pic of the ebox and send it....when he saw it he said 'wow.....that's clean but there's nothing in there! No voltage reg either, which means your ski isn't charging...."

So, not sure what to think about that.....

Nope, standard factory pipe.

Randy is sending my ebox back fixed. He said it did have a regulator in it, and that's what was bad! Should be fixed.

How did it run with the change you made Billybo455?

:woot:IT LIVES!!!!

Got my ebox back from Randy, he said the voltage reg was shot. I put the box back in the ski, still no spark. 58vwragtop came over, we couldn't figure it out so we got Randy on the phone he and 58vwragtop noticed it was turning over really slow. Randy thought my starter was shot. We thought he was right until 58VWRAGTOP talked me into cracking open the flywheel housing...I had my bendix in wrong.....it was causing stress on the starter, not letting the motor turn over during the start at the correct speed causing no spark. Turns out I was chasing 2 problems...a voltage reg and a bound up bendix.

Reassembled, primed it and started right up. Hit the lake, awesome afternoon.

A little lean on the mid range I think. Needs some tuning but those Mikuni's are awesome. When the motor hits the pipe, its like an on/off switch.
