new here and have a few ?

Hey thanks in advance and here goes
just bought a 91 sj with a 2007 6t2 as my first ski and love it. its perfect as I can take the family to the beach and piss off and play for a bit.
so I found 850 bigbore on ebay with freeride porting and orderd a set of wiseco 89 mm cr500 pistons. has any one built one of these motors and how far do u go with clearance the skirts to line up the transfers . this isn't my first performance build but never played with one of these motors before. amy tips and pointers are appreciated.
thanks matt

bought it already resleved and bored was thinking about building a stroker motor but am worried about how many hours I ride about reliability. so I think the 850 with mild compression a b pipe should be good enough.
if I don't feel confident building it I will ship it to qjc. but would rather build it myself as I will be tearing it down once a year and want to know it inside and out

ya cases need to be opened that's not a big deal.
if I go the stroker route I will leave it to the a engine builder. but this is pretty straight forward.
there just wont be a lot of piston skirt left around the intake transfers

I have the exact same build in my ski along with my friend, my dad put it together and machined it so I'm not sure the exact dimensions but my cases had to be machined to the point that it cut through into the front stator cover and needed to be epoxied, jet works has instructions on what to run with the specific setup which includes appropriate carb size, head dome size, etc.. The first season I ran the setup I ran modified 38mm carbs and mild compression, the setup made good power over my previous 760 but wasn't as much as I thought it would be, this season I jumped the compression to 200 and added some custom built 44s and the thing turned into an absolute animal, I'm sure it could get better with mods (MSD TL, PFP, etc..) but for now I'm happy with the output
