Anyone got any good tips for moving footholds? Is there such a thing as a good way to do it? Mine are too far back... I'd like to move them forward maybe 1-2" but I've got a nasty feeling that the entire ski will have to be returfed...:buttkick::damnit:

You don't move footholds, I'm pretty sure you remove and replace.

You'll definitely be returfing.

Save that bullsh*t for the winter.

it would probably a whole lot easier to get use to it or lengthen your pole...

your lookin at a LOT of work trying to move your footholds just to gain a couple inches. You'll have to returf, and you'll be pretty lucky if you are able to get them out depending on how the previous person installed them. if they used marine tex or something similar to install them then you are screwed and you have to basically break them out and start over.... totally not worth it.

Just ride the thing!!! who knows.... you might get used to it and never even notice it again.

Yeah, 1 or 2 inches is noticeable, but not a deal breaker. I want to move mine about the same amount, and probably will when I refoam, but not right now.

Normally I would agree that moving them would be pointless, especially at this time in the year. My big problem is that when my back gets tired, I'm not ready to quit so I keep riding and learn a new way to jump. The new way is a lazier way...lazy jump means lazy landing and lazy landings can put me out of commission for the rest of the summer and almost have already.

A good bit of it is psycological and it's all preventable but I don't think any of us are innocent when it comes to pushing it too far and getting hurt.

I've ordered some more B stock and I may or may not actually move them but at least I'll have all the stuff I need. I riveted and fiberglassed the holds in place so it won't be impossible to get them out but it won't be fun either.

mine are the same way. i just tuck my right foot in the hold sideways and ride surf stance mostly with the front hold. im fixing my problem now but im not going back with holds this time.
