looking for cool cylinder paint

anyone got some cool pictures of their motor w the cylinders painted, ive got my motor apart and want to paint the cyl and head some coool color-looking for some ideas for colors, also what kind of paint ? typical heat resistant paint

Here's mine. I just went to the parts store and got some duplicolor engine paint.

just beadblast them and clearcoat....or get zinc primer and paint for lower units/boat motors....the engine paint from autozone never lasted long for me....

Well hopefully my engine paint doesn't deteriorate. My pipe lasted a full season and the only scratches are where I've beat it up getting it into and out of the hull so many times.

i don't know about cool, but i did use the same paint 3-4 years ago and it still looks as crappy as it did when i sprayed it. i didn't prep it, just sprayed it all on. :dunno:

heat resistant paint isnt REALLY necessary. cylinders typically stay cool enough to keep your hands on indefinitely.

I REALLY like this idea. I think I might do it on a spare flywheel cover to see how it turns out first

Someone did theirs up in a 3 stage spoof can stuff on here and it looked like a cool candy apple red anodize job or something.
I dont remember who it was though..
