Looking for a Yamaha SJ Blue color swatch

Does anybody have a busted piece of plastic, a through hole that was cut, or some masking tape or paper from a recent paintjob or something?
I want to paint my ski with Awlgrip paint but they do not have that color formulated. Nor can they cross reference the color from another paint company. They need a color in hand to match it.
I would be getting a full gallon so I could send the person a quart of paint for doing this for me, or pay you or whatever.

If you 're putting in footholds cut a piece out, or drill a bilge outlet with a hole saw. The ski can't be totally done if you're painting it.

Take the nosepiece off and take that in.

different year SJs have different shades of blue. hell, even one SJ could have a slightly different shade of blue on the hood, than on the hull.

don't bother trying to match it... impossible!!!!!

I just went through this and ended up having to get the basecoat from Color-Rite.com

You can not get the code or formula from anyone but them...

I'm not trying to match the color to do a repair. Right now my ski is white & black. I want to paint it Yamaha OEM Blue. If I had a part to send to Awlgrip, they will match it pretty darn close.

Even if I had the formula from color-rite, it would not be the same formula as a different manufacture. Everybody uses different tint strengths wich makes the formula different. The only way is to send a piece.

But you guys did give me an idea. I could order a small amount from color-rite, spray a panel, then send that out to match. Or...use the color-rite basecoat, then shoot Awlgrip clear over it. Ya thats probably the best way.

Thanks

if you are not matching it perfectly, why not just pick a color from a swatch???

There is no flake or pearl in the OEM paint... It's kinda ugly

I would paint it a close color (something you like) and not worry about matching the OEM...
