Hello everyone. I just ordered all of my to put my footholds, mat kit, and one way valve in my SXR. I Have noticed on a lot of skis, that people are building up the area behind the footholds at the back of the tray. Is this somthing that is pretty important? DO you need something back there to help keep you locked into the footholds?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated before i put in my mat kit.

I think usually people go level with the rest of the turf, or put less foam in the shape of a foot in the holds, or even a downward slope. Its all personal preference. I like the kind that form around your foot, sunken down compared to the rest of the mat. Im gonna get some of the waterdawg R.E.V.'s for my SJ this winter, only 100 bucks!

If you were referring to building up with glass, its just for reinforcement so you dont crack the tray.

I think he's reffering to a kick in the back of the tray. They are usually done by racers in the rear to give them something to position their rear feet.

No...not needed for FX
