is this a sign of a bad cdi

when a cdi goes bad does it not work at all as in not fire the motor.lastyear i tore a coupler on the pipe.i replaced the coupler while the motor was out i decided to widen the ex ports.i put the motor togather and i just didnt feel like it would rev up and had no power.so now i put another cylinder and pistons in and same thing so i know its not in the cylinder could it be the cdi or coil?any adivice on what to check?

I have had a bad ignition coil let the ski fire, but run really crappy. that might be it.

my cdi caused things that appered to be carb like issues that never cleared till i replaced it

i just replace my msd enhancer because my ski would start and idle but it would not rev up or shut off. Got the ski back together tonight and just finished riding. runs great now.
