Is it safe to mix oils?

Like title says. I usually run yamaha oil in my sxr but I found a full can of seadoo oil buried in my garage. Would it be a good idea to use the seadoo oil then swap back to yamaha or is that a no-no?

wouldnt mix synthetic and castor oils together

i used my seadoo synthetic oil in my sxr and had no problems, make sure you try and empty the tank as best as you can before you put in the new one.

i wouldn't take two different oils and pour them together and mix myself up some sort of exotic mixed fuel concoction, but i have used quicksilver oil mix for a day and then went back to amsoil the next time out. it says on the amsoil that it will mix with other oils but keep them as seperate as possible. i take that as: run your tank empty before refueling with a different type of oil/fuel mix.

different types of oil can seperate which can = kaboom. Like everyone else said try to empty your tank or drain your tank.
