Interesting sbn44 problem

I was riding the 440 conversion today and all of a sudden the ski stalls instantly. I of couse assumed im out of gas but i wasnt. Checked spark and changed plugs, no fix. Ski would hit but wouldnt run. I said forget it and come home. Once I got home I found that the choke shaft snapped right after the spring and the choke plate shut and was causing my flooding problem. Is this uncommon? Ive had alot of strange things happen but this was very unobvious. Just thankful it was an easy fix and didnt cost $$$$.

I don't think either of mine came with chokes. I don't think I've seen a SBN44 with a choke.

'Course, that don't mean anything.

Just get rid of the choke. If you want to keep using it, regularly check the choke plate screws for tightness.

ditch the choke, put in a primer
chokes suck and are a great way to introduce extra parts (screws) into you motor

I put a primer on the ski, I just run it to the extra nipple that the kawis have on the intake manifold for oil injection. I was just lazy and left the choke on, well it bit me in the butt. I love primers.
