Installing Factory Pipe Manifold on Superjet 701?

Pulled manifold last night. The bot I was having trouble with ended up being bent pretty badly from the top of the threads up to the bolt head. No wonder the wrench wasn't spinning it properly. I'll get some straight bolts and re attack.

I think its just too long of a bolt. I can get the wrench head in and under the bolt, initially it was pinching the bolt so I get what your saying, I just powered through it and gouged the manifold a bit.

I'll grind the bolt down and re apply with the proper tightening sequence.

Its funny, all the B pipe threads I read over time, and I finally get a B pipe for $400 used, I don't ever recall seeing a post that the stock bolts are too long. I guess its common sense as the OEM manifold is thicker but I don't have an OEM manifold on hand so who would of thunk?

I think in the instructions it states you have to cut the bolts...

It doesn't say anything about it in the blaster instructions. I'm about to do this and am planning on taking the washer route.

The problem with that approach is that there really isn't that much room in the manifold for bolt head PLUS washer.
It might fit. I find it much easier to just cut the bolt.
