Just wondering if my old impeller tool for the kawi js550's will work on my x-2.Thanks for any info.

Only if your 550 was a 90+. Older than that you just used a wrench and a screwdriver.

No on an older 550 you had to have the special tool that went into the impeller to remove it, on a 440 you sometimes with an aluminum prop, a propane torch and a lot of luck could remove the impeller with a wrench and a screwdriver,90 and up models use the same tool as the X2.

His x2 is a '93, and his 550 was an 87 or 88.
We did the work together and the 550 tool was not compatible. However, the job got done.........
