how to disassemble white start/stop connector

I know I've done this before. it can be done!

the wires have pulled out of the female end of the white start stop connector. I can't seem to get the pins to come out. I pulled the little round rubber grommits and I'm stuck there.

Is there a tab that clips the pins in? don't the pins pull out the same direction the grommits pull out?

Yep, there's a tab on the pin that you need to push down on. It's on the opposite side to where the wire goes in.
Once you mush it down pull the wire out with the pin.

k, so I push down on a plastic tab and the pin will come out through the wire hole?


I'll give that a try next.

Here's what it looks like all in pieces.

You lift the plastic tab away from the pin and pull.

There's a small barb at the bottom of the metal tip that has to be pressed in before you can pull it out.

The other way.
You got the tab right, you just need to move it away from the pin.

figured it out. the one I was using is f'd. I found another in the garage.

anyone know where or who sells the pins ?

I have a few start/stop switches with corroded pins that I would love to repair.
