Most I ever made pre tax was 145k. On the road. Almost 40k of it was untaxed per diem. Currently reside in tehama county California where the single median income is around 24k a yr. And the family is around 50k. I make more than that now so I'm doing comfortable. Although California is statistically 20 percent more expensive to live in vs other states.
