How hard to install footholds?

how hard is it to install footholds? I dont have very much experience working with fiberglass, and i think its time for some footholds because my feet are lifting off some of the bigger waves and i might take it to the beach some time this year, and im thinking since i need new turf anyways might as well install some footholds while its all apart

As long as you take your time and don't get in a hurry it will be easy. I did mine in a couple of weekends and it turned out pretty good. If I can do it anybody can. Get some epoxy resin and go for it!

it took me about 3 nights (working about 3 hours each night).......footholds are easy to put in, just takes up time cutting and sanding...Turfing is the hard part!. (in my opinion)

It is really no big deal. I did my first install at the end of last year. Take your time when cutting open the gunwhales and test fit them after each cut. Same as with removing foam. With the SXR, I would not backfill with two part foam. There are multiple threads on here and PWCToday that will help you get through it. When you are done you will wonder why you worried so much about it. A few beers for the first cut does not hurt either:wink:

yeh beers would be good at 14! :naughty:

thanks! im not really worried about cutting up the ski, its just when i install the footholds i dont really want to mess around with filling in glass and resin and all that stuff. i dont want my ski sinking due to my errors!
dang jetski parts are expensive, i wanted to mod this thing but everything is so darn expensive compared to dirtbiking.
