how bad could it get.

first bought the worst ski this year a 1994 sj 701..i got it home supose to need a top end . it had bad midshaft ,bent crank rod and rusted bearings, needs pistions, steering cable froze, prop was hittting pump and wouldnt spin good., and it had a hole in the hull i didnt know about . about the only thing good was footholds,b pipe and cylinder.electrics, also bought another superjet for the crank and took it out today and it sucks to. i guess ill have to buy an engine and sell the pos i have to get a little money back on my loss.ive been through 3 cranks last year. and havent rode one of the engines. do you really have to build an engine to get something good.:aargh4:

sounds like my sob story of last summer.

now i have a new motor, and another hull, still need a midshaft
lots of work, bitching and bloddy knuckles and still i have to ride it to it's full potentiall. if i can every get it all together i may be able to ride it someday

i feel you pain
i was fully hoodwinked and to boot drove 6 hours to chicago to pick up this pos. talk about salt in the wound
carbs needed rebuilt way bad cases, electrical hull full of watery foam and cracks that i did not see on fast inspection

some things just suck

i bought the 94 square knowing it needed a topend and midshaft. i didnt know ski was torn apart when i got there. i thought midshaft was froze ended up being hydrolocked and bad midshaft. im still tryingto decide what to do about an engine. ive got a 61x cylinder and case and a buch of bolts . im still working on my hull untill something comes better . the 650 i got was complete ski. had trouble getting it started and found timing to be off. took it apart to part out and keep crank and it was screwed up too. i did buy the ski from a 2nd party wont ever do that again. i drove like 6 hours to get this one.
