Hood Strap

Just an FYI for any one out there that is debating on Hood Starps...

if i didn't have them on my 04 SXR i would of lost my Hood 4 times this weekend

I would also like to see how these things mount. Also I have read other posts about people making their own. Some things about Blowsions and such not being bulky enough. Anyone have any directions on this?

My straps are similar to shonuff's. The back straps on mine were screwed into the tray the same but I looped my strap to cover the screws so I wouldn't cut myself. At the front, my ski has two holes in the side of the handlepole mount. I pulled the straps through these holes and tied a knot at the end. It doesn't get in the way and it can't come out.

I didn't do the EJ thing purely because I wanted easy access to my engine. Two buckles and you're done. Unstrapping the ratchet is too much for me...maybe I'm just lazy...

I'll post the Pic up this week.....I have blowsion ( too lazy to make my own ) yeh they look weak, But they worked...the only change you might do on them ( if you want ) just change the 2 clips.....i'm so happy i had it....the sub's that i was doing were very deep and at a steep angle....( almost like a nose stab )
