Super Jet help me with this nonsense

So I got this SN hull and some a-hole murderlated the plastic piece for the steering cable. I can't get it to screw in out out at this point, the nut other side just spins...

It looks like I have to cut the tray out and defoam to get to the other side of this thing where the nut is which is obviously painstaking long.

Should I just cut it out and epoxy a new on one in there? open to other suggestions if you got em. Thanks!

I have a suggestion maybe, the Kawasaki piece is made of bronze, maybe use it and epoxy it in the hole, no way you can epoxy that plastic piece and make it stay.I may even have a spare Kawi one here if you need it

try and get a socket on there and spin it fast with an impact drill.
