Dont feel bad, you will learn from experience. I barely knew how to fix anything on my ski a year ago. Just learn from the experiences. Having a ski from 1990 now it seems like after everytime I start it I have something that needs to be replaced, start stop switch, leaky midshaft, head gasket, wave of water into the carb, etc etc, but when you fix something once, it's easy from there.
